WHO I AM

Abeer believes deeply in the power of connecting women and youth around the world…linking resources, brainpower and technology to create more sustainable, socially just and productive communities. 
 

Abeer is a technology entrepreneur from Palestine. She has been branded Palestine’s first female high-tech entrepreneur. Abeer was the recipient of “Best Technology Enabler and Facilitator” Award given by MEA Women in Technology Awards 2014. Following this award, Abu Ghaith has been selected as one of “The World’s 100 Most Powerful Arabs” (Next Generation) and as one of the top 100 Most Powerful Arab Women in the World for 2015 and 2014. Also, she has been selected as one of the 100 Most Powerful Arabs Under 40 for 2015. In addition, she has been selected as one of 21 Young Inspirational Figures who are fighting to make a change in the World based on Huffington Post UK.

 

Abeer dedicated her career to connect women and youth with opportunities through focusing on entrepreneurship, youth and women's empowerment and employment, and technology in the MENA. She excelled on several programs that were focused on advancing opportunities for youth and women to actively participate in public advocacy, economic empowerment and political processes.

 

Abeer is Founder and CEO of MENA Alliances Group Inc., an International business aimed at  providing high quality and value outsourced business and technology solutions faster, easier, trusted and fully localized while creating economic opportunity for talent in the MENA region. Recently, her company has been selected as "BEST SOCIAL IMPACT COMPANY" in Netkite competition in Italy. MENA Alliances is an expansion of Abeer's previous business "StayLinked".

 

Abeer launched her IT business, StayLinked, in 2013. In two years of operation she brought more than 370 jobs opportunities for youth and women across the West Bank and Gaza.

 

In addition to her work in StayLinked, Abeer has worked as Career Guidance Supervisor at the Center of Entrepreneurship and Career Development in Palestine Polytechnic University, where more than 1000 students and graduates receive career advice and training. 

 

Before establishing StayLinked, Abeer was the Country Director of the Women’s Campaign International (WCI) and their flagship program, ALWANE. She worked at both the national and regional levels, leading and motivating a team of more than 35+ youth, volunteers and activists in Palestine. Her work included several efforts to increase women’s participation in the labor market and decision making positions; supporting youth and women’s employment and entrepreneurship; to initiating advocacy campaigns using innovative technology; and to growing youth and women’s internet and computer literacy.

 

 

Furthermore, she worked as hub manager with Business Women Forum-Palestine for MENA Business Women's Network program, a regional network of businesswomen dedicated to promoting a culture of entrepreneurship and economic empowerment of women in the MENA region. Prior to that, she was project coordinator for Internship and Business Plan Competition for Women. Previously, she held the post of Computer Network Instructor at the Palestine Polytechnic University and at the Dura Industrial School for girls she held the post of Hardware Engineer.

 

 

During the course of her career, Abeer lead the training of more than 2,000 graduates and students on social media, employment and career planning and entrepreneurship in urban and marginalized areas; published articles; held awareness workshops and round table meetings with stockholders and decision makers; and participated in multiple international and regional conferences and programs such as: "One Young World Summit" in Bangkok, "Women In STEM" in Dubai; International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) entitled “Business Development and Entrepreneurship” in United States; Vital Voices’ Global Ambassadors Program in Qatar; and NYUAD workshop for “Women in Computing in the Arab World” in Abu Dhabi.

 

Born in Jordan on Oct 4th, 1984, she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Palestine Polytechnic University in Hebron, Palestine.

StayLinked is a Business Service Provider that acts as Talent Broker between skilled Palestinian freelancers and worldwide enterprises businesses with specific project business needs that can be delivered through leveraging Remote Service Resourcing. Its unique business model has resulted in a wide socioeconomic impact in West Bank and Gaza. More than 300 tasks have been implemented so far by more than 200 professionals (primarily women and youth).
